Biography
Dr. David Sutton, a board-certified ophthalmologist, is proud to be a part of the Chippewa Valley Eye Clinic care team. With over 35 years and 10,000 cases of cataract surgery experience, Dr. Sutton is highly skilled and comfortable in no-stitch cataract surgery techniques.
Dr. Sutton is proficient in the popular advanced technology intraocular lenses which help with reading and driving as well as astigmatism. These newer lens implants after cataract removal greatly reduce patients’ dependence on glasses to focus for common daily activities.
Dr. Sutton takes great pride in his patient’s successful outcomes. He takes time to listen to his patients’ concerns and provide them an understandable report about their eyes.
Personal Experience
Raised in Wisconsin and the valedictorian at Wauwatosa West High School, Dr Sutton attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison where he received and undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology. He attended medical school at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland followed by an internship at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California. His ophthalmology residency was at the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology and he has been board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1990.
