Biography
John Moffitt, MD joined the practice in the winter of 2021. He is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Moffitt received his BS in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive) from the United States Military Academy at West Point in New York. He served abroad as an officer in the Military Police Corps and later as a Flight Surgeon. He completed his Medical Doctorate at the Uniformed Services University of Health Science in Bethesda, MD, then an internship at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Ft Lewis, WA. He completed his ophthalmology training with his ophthalmology residency at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.
Personal Experience
Dr. Moffitt is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). In 2014, he received Outpatient Teacher of the Year Award from the Martin Army Medical Center Family Practice Residency. Dr. Moffitt provides a safe surgical experience with the most modern technology for no-stitch cataract surgery.
He treats glaucoma with medications, laser, and minimally invasive surgery. In addition, Dr. Moffitt can treat macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy as well as other retinal diseases.
